Clinical case :

 

Diagnosis :

Young boy 8 years : Classe II division 1, hyperdivergent growth, overjet 10 mm, digital suction, buccal breathing, labial inocclusion, retrognatic mandible, retrusif profile: unaestetic facial growth.

Psychologic + Functional + orthopedic + orthodontics

1-Motivate the patient for stopping thumb suction.

2-ORL: clearing airways

Conclusion:

As soon as the airways have been cleared and the PUL is fitted (mandibular growth and functional regulator), patient re find his bi-labial contact, improved deglution, nasal breathing (days and nights), massetero-temporal muscle stimulation and facial improvement

Patient's face grows in better conditions, from hyperdivergent to meso and hypodivergent.
